CLERMONT, Fl. – The Spring Arbor Softball team added two more wins to their Florida trip, defeating Carlow University and Judson University to advance to 8-0 on the season.
The Cougars used strong pitching to remain in the driver's seat for the entirety of the game, as
Emmalee Hamp pitched a complete game and struck out nine in the process. Spring Arbor won 2-0.
In game two, Judson gave Spring Arbor quite the battle. The Cougars found themselves in a 1-6 hole following a five run fifth inning by the Eagles.
From there, the Cougars offense showed up, as they outscored the Eagles 7-1 the remainder of the contest. The climax came after
Payton Grange hit a two out walk-off winner to secure the game for the Cougars 8-7.
The Cougars play two more games this week, with matches against other NAIA programs a part of the 67 team field.
