Box Score 2 CLERMONT, Fl. – On the last day of competition for Spring Arbor, the Cougars played to a split, first handling Penn St. New Kensington University easily, and then losing a hard fought battle to Dordt College.
In game one, The Cougars led the Lady Lions early, but did not pour on the runs until late in the game.
They scored 10 runs after the fifth inning to put the game well out of reach. Seven Cougars recorded a hit and five recorded at least one RBI. By the end, the Cougars had won 14-2.
In game two, Dordt handed Spring Arbor their first loss in Florida and of the season. This game was dominated by strong pitching, with both starters going the full game and striking out eight.
It was a 3-3 ballgame headed to the eighth inning when Dordt broke the tie with a sacrifice fly. The Cougars could not match, and picked up their first loss of the season by a score of 3-4.

Matajia Cerroni recorded her first homerun of her college career, a solo homerun in the sixth inning to tie the game, 3-3.
- The Cougars recorded eight hits to the Defenders five, but it was Dordt who did more with those hits, putting up four runs for the win.
