Cougars earn split versus (RV) Trojans

UPLAND, IN. – Spring Arbor concluded their season series with Taylor University the other day, dropping game one before righting the ship and ending the series with a win.

In game one, the Cougars struggled from the plate, as it took them until the fourth inning to put runs on the board. Only four Cougars earned hits in the game, as they fell in game one by a score of 2-5.

In game two, however, the Cougars showed some more grit in the batters box and opened up the game with two quick runs in the first inning to take an early lead.

Solid pitching from Evan Lorey carried the Cougars throughout the game, and Spring Arbor sealed their win thanks to a 3-run homerun from Landon Raczkowski in the seventh inning. Spring Arbor took game two, 5-0.
