SPRING ARBOR, MI. – The Spring Arbor baseball team played host for the first time this season this past Tuesday, and earned two impressive wins over Crossroads League foe, Marian University.
The Cougars found themselves in a hole in game one, trailing 9-4 in the sixth inning when the offense heated up. They scored 6 unanswered runs capped off by a walk-off single to lift the Cougars to a dramatic 10-9 victory.
In game two, the cougars again overcame an early deficit when they took a 4-2 deficit in the third inning and rattled off seven runs combined in the fourth and fifth inning to turn that deficit into a 9-4 lead they would never give back. The Cougars tacked on two more runs in the sixth inning just for good measure, winning by a final score of 11-5.
