Spring Arbor, MI. – Spring Arbor welcomed the Goshen Maple Leafs to town, and split the series, with each team earning a win in dominant fashion.
In game one, it was the Cougars that put on an offensive display. Spring Arbor led 5-3 in the fifth inning when they decided to pull away. The following inning, the offense erupted for eight runs, with the exclamation point being a 2-run home run from freshman
Aiden Brunin to put the game away for good. The Cougars won 14-3.
Spring Arbor again jumped out to an early lead in game two, but this time it was the Maple Leafs who responded in a big way.
The Cougars saw their 4-2 lead quickly evaporate as the Maple Leafs rattled off 12 unanswered runs, leaving Spring Arbor in a 4-15 hole. The Cougars managed to tack on one more run in the seventh inning, but stifled from there, losing by a final score of 5-15.
