SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team stepped out of Crossroads League play on Wednesday, welcoming Grace Christian University to Hank Burbridge Field for a pair of contests. The Cougars defeated the Tigers 17-1 in game one of the doubleheader and prevailed 7-3 in game two.
Spring Arbor has now won five of its last six games and improves to 17-12 overall on the season.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor scored in each of the first three innings, including eight runs in the third, to take a commanding 14-0 lead en route to a 17-1 victory.
- Brennan Moran collected three hits and two RBI's while Aiden Brunin, Bryce Richey and Evan Lorey also drove in two runs apiece.
- Colin Snyder earned the win on the mound pitching three scoreless frames with four strikeouts. Ethan DeBlecourt pitched 2.0 innings and struck out five batters while Calvin Adams and Dylan Trick tossed one inning each.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Grace Christian grabbed an early 3-0 lead in game two, but SAU would rally back to tie the score with three runs in the bottom of the third inning.
- Spring Arbor grabbed the lead in the fifth when Moran scored on a sacrifice fly from Braedon Leathed, and added three insurance runs in the sixth. Lorey had the key hit – a two-RBI single – and Lorey would later score on a base hit by Moran.
- Ryan Ruhlman pitched three scoreless innings of relief on his way to earning the win. Aaron Spry closed the game out with a scoreless seventh inning.
