FORT WAYNE, IN. – The Spring Arbor baseball team traveled to take on the Cougars of St. Francis and came back having earned a series split.
After a solo homerun from St. Francis in the first inning, the Cougars used a big second and third inning to open their scoring, amassing a 5-1 lead. This 5-1 lead would end up being the final score, as both teams failed to put up a run after this point.
In game two, St. Francis used a big fourth inning to create a cushion, one that Spring Arbor would not be able to come back from.
They nearly put together a comeback, as they scored four runs in the seventh to cut into the 1-7 deficit, but it would not be enough, as they lost game two 5-7.
