Mishawaka, IN. – The Spring Arbor baseball team took their talents to Mishawaka, Indiana in an attempt to right the ship versus the Bethel Pilots.

In game one, the Cougars seemingly saved their bats until the end of the game, as the Cougars held a slight 1-0 advantage heading into the eighth inning. 

Then, Landon Raczkowski unleashed a massive 2-run home run to extend the Cougars lead. The Cougars would tack on three more runs in the ninth inning, winning by a final score of 6-1.

In game two, the Pilots jumped out to an early lead, one that the Cougars struggled to claw into. Despite several tries at a comeback, the Cougars were unable to steal the lead away from the Pilots. The Cougars lost 2-6.

 GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS

- Josh Murphy led Spring Arbor on the mound, only allowing two hits and striking out five in seven stellar innings of action.

- Raczkowski hit double digits for home runs this season when smashed his 10th home run in the eighth inning of game one. 

- In the ninth inning, Bryce Richey and Ben Redfield tallied two additional runs to pad the Cougars' lead and put the game out of reach. 

GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS

- Despite the loss, Jared Plane struck out a season-high nine batters in four innings of action before being relieved in the fifth inning.

- The Cougars struggled mightily from the plate, only putting up three hits in the game. 

- Jake Spedoske was responsible for the lone RBI for the Cougars, a sacrifice hit in the seventh inning.
