Mishawaka IN. – After playing to a split the prior day versus the Pilots, the Cougars came out determined to take the final two games of the series.
In game one, the Cougars struck first, jumping out to an early 3-0 lead thanks to freshman Brandon Kampo's first collegiate home run.
They led 4-3 in the ninth inning when this time Braedon Leathed went yard to push the Cougar lead to 5-3. The Pilots tacked on one more run in the ninth, but it would not be enough, as the Cougars took a dramatic 5-4 victory.
The Cougars continued their hot play at the plate in game two, wasting no time in creating a 4-0 cushion in the first inning. The Pilots tried to mount a comeback several times, but another late run from the Cougars - this time in the form of five runs in the sixth and seventh inning - led to their eventual game two victory, 11-7.
