SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – After falling to No. 15 Bethel University 3-1 on Friday night, the Spring Arbor University volleyball team responded with a four-set victory over Grace College on Saturday afternoon inside the McDonald Athletic Center.
VS. BETHEL

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor looked impressive against No. 15 ranked Bethel and gave the Pilots all they could handle.
- The match was tied 1-1 after two sets, but Bethel took control after a lengthy run in the third set propelled the visitors to a 2-1 advantage.
- The Cougars started strong in the fourth set, racing out to a 7-1 lead. However, the Pilots battled their way back and escaped with the set and the match.
- Kendall Bollenbacher racked up 16 kills while Keely Hinzman finished with 12 kills, two aces and eight blocks, including three solos. Camy Wedge had 22 kills and Hayden Fortress ended the evening with 18 to go along with 13 digs. Frances Churchwell recorded a team-high 16 digs.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- Following a hard-fought loss to a nationally ranked squad on Friday night, Spring Arbor bounced back right away with a win over Grace, who entered the day with a 13-4 record.
- Grace managed to avoid the sweep with a narrow win in set three, but the Cougars put the match away in the fourth.
- Hinzman had another big day to lead Spring Arbor. The freshman middle had a match-high 15 kills and six blocks. Bollenbacher notched a double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs.
- Fortress and Wedge combined for 37 assists while Fortress added four aces.
- Churchwell picked up 19 digs and Kirstyn Throop registered 16.
