MATCH NOTES
- Both teams got on the board early with Marian scoring in the fifth minute and Spring Arbor's Rood Schnaider finding the back of the net just over six minutes later.
- The Knights seized control of the match with two goals in closing moments of the first half.
- Coming out of the halftime break, Marian extended its lead to 4-1 with a goal in the 49th minute.
- Schnaider registered his second tally of the night in the 71st minute to cut the deficit in half, but that was as close as the Cougars would get.
- Spring Arbor finished the evening with a 21-13 advantage in shots.
