SPRING ARBOR, Mich. - The Spring Arbor University men's soccer team suffered a heartbreaking setback to Grace College on Wednesday night at the Cougar Soccer Complex. Despite a strong performance, the Cougars fell short with a final score of 1-0.
The loss drops SAU's season record to 8-6-1 and 2-3-1 in the Crossroads League.
Spring Arbor dominated the possession and had its scoring opportunities, outshooting Grace 12-3 and securing 11 corner kicks compared to Grace's 3. However, the Lancers' Josh Cruz broke the deadlock late in the game, scoring the game-winning goal at 81:51.
The Cougars will look to bounce back when they faceoff against Taylor University on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Cougar Soccer Complex. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
