WINONA LAKE, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University women's basketball team picked up its fourth straight win to open the season after defeating Alice Lloyd College 97-73 at the Grace College Val Weinstein Classic on Friday evening.
Alana Nelson and
Megan Zeitz combined for 50 points to lead the way. Nelson finished with 28 points and 11 rebounds while Zeitz posted a season-high 22 points with five boards and four assists.
Alayna Kulesza also added a career-high 18 points.

- The score was tied after one quarter of play, 26-26, but Spring Arbor would outscore Alice Lloyd 29-7 in the second period to take control of the game.
- The Cougars stretched the margin to 30 in the third quarter en route to recording their fourth consecutive victory.
- Alana Nelson registered her third double-double of the season with 28 points and 11 rebounds. Freshman Megan Zeitz poured in a season-high 22 points while also adding five rebounds and four assists. Alayna Kulesza added a career-best 18 points with five steals.
- Spring Arbor shot 52 percent from the floor and knocked down a season-best eight 3-pointers.
