GOSHEN, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team swept a doubleheader at Goshen College on Monday. The Cougars scored a combined 33 runs in the two games on their way to winning 17-9 and 16-4.
The wins secured the series victory for Spring Arbor after splitting the doubleheader against the Maple Leafs on Thursday.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor trailed 5-1 after four innings of play, but would explode for 16 runs over the next five frames to claim the victory.
- Bryce Richey went 2-for-3 with four RBIs and three runs scored while Aiden Brunin scored four times. Five more Cougars had multiple hits, including Jaeden Rodriguez, who went 3-for-6 with two RBIs and two runs scored.
- Joey McCowen earned the win on the mound. The senior pitcher worked 3.2 innings of relief allowing one unearned run and struck out eight batters.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- The offense continued to roll in game two of the twinbill, scoring at least one run in all seven innings, including a four-spot in the sixth.
- Brunin was a perfect 4-for-4 with 4 RBIs and three runs scored. Rodriguez collected two more hits and scored three times while Ben Redfield also finished with two hits.
- Josh Murphy picked up the win going 4.1 innings allowing three runs on three hits while fanning four. Ryan Ruhlman added 1.2 innings of scoreless relief and Jack Will pitched one inning out of the bullpen allowing one run on one hit with two strikeouts.
