SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team fell twice to the University of Saint Francis in a Crossroads League twin bill on Saturday at Hank Burbridge Field.
Spring Arbor fell 16-3 in game one and 5-2 in game two.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Saint Francis capitalized for seven runs on a couple of SAU miscues in the first two innings to grab an early lead.
- Spring Arbor got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the third inning on a solo home run by Seth Clothier.
- The visitors put the game out of reach with six runs in the fifth inning.
- Clothier finished the game with two RBIs and a run scored. Jake Spedoske also drove in a run for the Cougars.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor jumped on top with two runs in the second inning.
- Starting pitcher Josh Murphy shut down the Saint Francis bats through the first three innings, but USF was able to breakthrough with a run in the fourth and two in the fifth to grab a 3-2 lead.
- Saint Francis added two more runs in sixth inning to extend its lead to 5-2.
- Spring Arbor loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the seventh, but was unable to score.
- Aiden Brunin went 3-for-4 at the plate with an RBI while Bryce Richey had two hits.
- Murphy allowed three runs on six hits while striking out four in five innings of work. Ryan Ruhlman gave up two unearned runs with a strikeout in two innings of relief.
