WINONA LAKE, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team combined for 30 runs and 30 hits in two games on its way to a doubleheader sweep of Grace College on Friday.
The Cougars defeated the Lancers 16-5 in game one before earning a 14-3 victory in game two.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor held a 4-2 lead after four innings of play before plating four runs in the fifth to pull ahead 8-2.
- Grace cut into the deficit with a three-run sixth inning, making it an 8-5 game.
- The Cougars put the game out of reach after scoring eight unanswered runs over the seventh and eighth innings.
- Bryce Richey, Braydon Gregory and Jaeden Rodriguez had three hits and two runs scored each. Aiden Brunin finished with a home run, two RBIs and three runs scored.
- Kyler Hinken earned the win on the mound. The freshman pitcher allowed two runs on five hits over five innings and struck out five. Ryan Ruhlman worked three innings of relief giving up three runs on three hits and fanning seven batters.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor was on top 3-2 through four in game two until a 10-run fifth inning broke things wide open.
- Brunin went 3-for-4 at the plate, including a grand slam to highlight the 10-run fifth. Ben Redfield, Ryan Gonzalez, Zach Adams, Richey and Gregory also had multiple hits while Richey and Adams drove in three runs apiece.
- John Hojnowski struck out nine batters over five innings on his way to securing the win.
