MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – The Spring Arbor University baseball team clinched its second straight Crossroads League series victory after picking up two wins at Mount Vernon Nazarene University on Monday.
The Cougars defeated MVNU 8-7 in game one and 4-3 in game two.
Spring Arbor has now won three in a row and six of its last eight contests.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor led 7-4 after six innings, but a three-run seventh by MVNU tied the score.
- In the eighth, Bryce Richey delivered a clutch, two-out RBI single to bring in Aiden Brunin with the go-ahead run.
- Jaeden Rodriguez was 3-for-5 at the plate while Richey, Connor Dee and Ryan Gonzalez collected two hits apiece.
- Ryan Ruhlman earned the win on the mound with 2.2 scoreless innings of relief allowing just one hit and striking out four.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor scored three runs in the top of the first inning and made it stand up.
- Dee was 2-for-3 with three RBIs while Brunin had a hit and scored twice.
- Josh Murphy picked up the win going six strong innings allowing three runs and scattering 10 hits. Jack Will earned the save.
