WINONA LAKE, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team earned the series win over Grace College after splitting a pair of games against the Lancers on Saturday.
Spring Arbor picked up two wins to open the series on Friday, and despite losing the first game on Saturday 11-1, the Cougars bounced back with a 6-2 victory in the series finale to clinch the set.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Grace scored six runs over the first three innings to grab a quick 6-0 lead.
- Spring Arbor got on the scoreboard in the fourth inning when Bryce Richey scored on a sacrifice fly by Ryan Gonzalez.
- The Lancers answered with two runs in the fifth inning before adding two more in the seventh and one in the eighth.
- Connor Dee went 2-for-4 while Richey scored SAU's only run.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- A solo home run in the bottom of the first inning gave Grace the early advantage again in game two.
- The Lancers led 2-1 after three innings, but SAU tied the score in the fourth inning when Jaeden Rodriguez came around to score on a Grace error.
- RBI singles by Richey and Braydon Gregory in the fifth inning gave the Cougars their first lead of the day.
- Spring Arbor added two more runs in the seventh on RBI hits by Rodriguez and Zach Adams.
- Dee collected three more hits while Richey and Gregory had two each. Rodriguez finished with two RBIs and two runs scored.
- Josh Murphy earned the win on the mound. The southpaw allowed one earned run on three hits over seven innings of work while striking out six.
