SPRING ARBOR, Mich. - The Spring Arbor University men's soccer team was narrowly defeated by No. 3 Bethel University 3-2 in its Crossroads League opener Wednesday night at the Cougar Soccer Complex.
Spring Arbor started strong, leading 2-0 at halftime with goals from
Sahel Yessen and
Jack Voight, assisted by
Jack Reynolds and
Rood Schnaider, respectively. However, the Pilots mounted a comeback in the second half, led by their forward Piero Sabroso, who scored the game-winning goal in the 86th minute, sealing a 3-2 comeback victory for Bethel.

The Cougars, now holding a record of 6-4-0 overall and 0-1-0 in the league, look to bounce back against Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Mount Vernon, Ohio on Saturday, Sept. 28 starting at 4 p.m.
