SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Spring Arbor University women's soccer team secured a decisive 4-0 win over Bethel University on Wednesday night at the Invaders Soccer Complex in South Bend, Indiana. The victory in this Crossroads League showdown moves the Cougars to 6-2-0 overall and 1-0-0 in the Crossroads League.
After a scoreless first half, the Cougars turned up the heat with
Kaylee Beekel breaking the deadlock in the 51st minute assisted by
Ayla Thompson. Following up were
Annika Arsenault and
Malina Marshall, who further extended the lead, and
Maislin Joldersma sealed the victory with the fourth goal. Assists came from
Lauren Marshall and
Regan Ramirez, who contributed to two goals.
Goalkeeper
Reagan Kohler delivered an outstanding performance securing her second consecutive shutout.
The Cougars look to carry their momentum into their next contest against Mount Vernon Nazarene on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Cougar Soccer Complex.
