SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University women's basketball team rang in the new year with a dominant 73-54 victory over Taylor University on Saturday inside the McDonald Athletic Center.
Alana Nelson finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds to register her sixth double-double of the season. Freshman
Megan Zeitz stuffed the stat sheet with 13 points, five assists, three rebounds, two blocks and two steals.

GAME NOTES
- Spring Arbor outscored Taylor 26-13 in the opening quarter and never looked back. The Cougars forced the Trojans into seven turnovers in the period and converted those into 10 points.
- Turnovers were a problem for Taylor throughout the afternoon, finishing the contest with 24 – the team's second-most this season.
- Alana Nelson recorded her sixth double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds – both game-highs. Megan Zeitz followed with 13 points and five assists while Sydney Aunins and Alayna Kulesza finished with 10 points apiece.
