GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The No. 22 ranked Spring Arbor University men's cross country team finished seventh out of 23 teams at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge, hosted by Aquinas College, on Saturday.
The meet, one of premier events of the year, featured 15 schools either ranked or receiving votes in the latest top 25 ratings.
Spring Arbor ran its best team time of the season with a 2:05:39.
Leading the way for SAU was
Camden Khon in fifth place with a career-best time of 24:29 – the third-best time in program history – while
Jacob Singleton followed in 17th and turning in a career-best 24:44 – ranking seventh in program history.
Joey Bowman,
Logan Swiney,
Luke Morehouse, and
Landen Boulis also added their names to SAU's Under 26:00 Club.
Indiana Wesleyan, the No. 2 ranked team in the nation, won the event. The No. 5 ranked Taylor Trojans came in second and No. 14 Rocky Mountain (Mont.) finished third.
