SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Spring Arbor University is heading back to the NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championship.
 
The NAIA announced the team and individual qualifiers for the 70th annual event and the Cougars were one of 13 teams to earn an at-large bid, marking the fourth time SAU has been a team qualifier in the last six years.
 
This year's championship is made up of 23 automatic qualifiers and 13 at-large berths, which were determined by the final NAIA men's cross country rating. The Crossroads League is one of two conferences (Cascade Collegiate Conference) to send five teams. Joining Spring Arbor is Indiana Wesleyan University, Taylor University, Goshen College and Marian University.
 
In addition to the team qualifiers, 74 individuals qualified for the championship based on their scoring finish at their respective conference meets.
 
Head coach Bryan Burk and the Cougars will enter the national meet ranked No. 13 in nationally – five spots higher than they were in the previous rating. Spring Arbor is led by Crossroads League champion Camden Khon, who has paced SAU in five of the team's six meets, and fellow All-Crossroads League performer Jacob Singleton.
 
The NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championship is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 21 at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida. The 8k race will start at 9:30 a.m.
