TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The No. 20 ranked Spring Arbor University men's cross country team capped its season on the national stage Friday, placing 22nd out of 37 teams at the NAIA National Championship, held at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida. The Cougars were powered by a historic performance from
Camden Khon, who earned All-American honors with his 29th place finish.
Khon crossed the line in 25:08 in a field of more than 320 runners, becoming Spring Arbor's 10th NAIA All-American and the first since 2013.
Seniors
Dean Reynolds and
Jacob Singleton also delivered strong races in their final collegiate meet. Reynolds placed 97th, completing the 8k course with a time of 25:57 while Singleton was close behind in 105th at 25:59.
Indiana Wesleyan University edged The Master's University to capture the team championship, its first in school history, while Jack Anderson of The Master's claimed the individual national title in 24:15.
The finish caps another strong year for head coach
Bryan Burk and his squad, who have now appeared in the national meet four times in the last six years.
