SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Spring Arbor men's basketball extended its winning streak to three games Friday night with a 95-70 victory over Madonna University inside the McDonald Athletic Center, powered by several standout performances and a decisive first-half surge.
The Cougars found themselves in a 23-23 deadlock with 6:28 remaining in the opening half before completely taking control. Spring Arbor rattled off a 13-0 run and carried a 43-31 advantage into the locker room. The momentum carried into the second half, where SAU stretched its lead to as many as 27 points and never looked back.
Dante Favor delivered the best game of his collegiate career, erupting for a career-high 27 points and 14 rebounds for a dominant double-double.
Ty Rykse also turned in a career night, scoring 20 points on a perfect 8-for-8 shooting from the field.
Travis Grayson helped orchestrate the Cougars' offensive rhythm with 14 points and 10 assists, securing his own double-double.
David Cundiff made his presence felt all over the court, contributing nine points, nine assists and seven steals in a near triple-double performance.
Spring Arbor (3-2) begins Crossroads League play with a home game against Huntington University (6-1) on Wednesday, Nov. 19 starting at 7 p.m. from the McDonald Athletic Center.
