Cougars jump out early, cruise past Grace Christian

WYOMING, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University men's basketball team turned in a dominant road performance Friday night, rolling to an 83–51 win over Grace Christian University and improving to 6–5 on the season.
 
The Cougars wasted no time asserting control, exploding to a 24–2 lead in the opening minutes and never looking back. SAU carried its momentum throughout the night, building a comfortable advantage and cruising to the convincing victory.
 
Travis Grayson led the way with 16 points and six assists while Brandon Trilli added 13 points. Warrick Elder finished with a career-best 11 points, and David Cundiff chipped in 10, giving Spring Arbor four players in double figures. Dante Favor filled the stat sheet with eight points, six rebounds, four steals, and two blocks.
 
Spring Arbor dominated inside, outscoring Grace Christian 54–20 in the paint, and capitalized on defense by forcing 22 turnovers, which the Cougars converted into 32 points.
 
Up next, Spring Arbor heads to Florida for a pair of games. The Cougars will play New College of Florida on Tuesday, Dec. 16 and No. 8 Ave Maria University on Thursday, Dec. 18.
