SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University women's basketball team delivered a historic performance on Wednesday evening, rolling past Great Lakes Christian College 118-46 inside the McDonald Athletic Center.
The 118 points marked a new program record, surpassing the previous high of 114 set during the 1998-99 season, and represented the second time this year the Cougars have eclipsed the 100-point mark.
The win was Spring Arbor's fourth straight as the squad improved to 10-1 on the season.
Spring Arbor spread the scoring across the lineup, with every player recording at least four points and six finishing in double figures.
Emma Smieska led the way with 15 points and seven rebounds, while
Lexi Linder scored a career-high 14 points.
Haven Chapman added a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds, and
Aubrey Crockett and

The defense was just as dominant. The Cougars, one of the top defensive teams in the nation, forced 35 turnovers and recorded 25 steals, consistently turning defense into offense. SAU also controlled the glass from start to finish, out-rebounding Great Lakes Christian 55-27 to cap off a commanding all-around performance.
