SAU Athletics to host inaugural Golf Outing on May 16

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University Athletic Department is excited to announce its inaugural golf outing set for Friday, May 16 at Arbor Hills Golf Club in nearby Jackson, Michigan. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with a 10 a.m. shotgun start.

This event will serve as a key fundraising opportunity for SAU Athletics. Funds raised throughout the day will be used to support a variety of department needs, with a portion of the proceeds specifically designated for the annual Montana Leadership Retreat – a trip hosted by SAU board member Harvey Gainey's 10,000-acre ranch in Glen, Montana where student-athletes participate in a number of hands-on activities designed to prepare them to become leaders within their respective programs and on the campus of Spring Arbor University.

The cost to play in the outing is $100 per individual or $400 for a foursome, and $100 for a hole sponsorship.

Spring Arbor sponsors 21 varsity teams and boasts a 3.4 grade-point average for its 400-plus student-athletes, who engage in hundreds of hours of community service activities throughout the year. The work done at SAU has been recognized at the national level with the athletic department receiving the NAIA Champions of Character® Five-Star Award.
