INDIANAPOLIS – Spring Arbor University's
Dean Reynolds qualified for his third event at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships on Saturday while running at the Fairgrounds Invitational in Indianapolis.
Reynolds – who has already posted qualifying times in the 800 meters and as a member of the distance medley relay team earlier this season – hit the A standard in the mile on his way to a second place finish while racing against many NCAA Division I athletes. The Jackson, Michigan native crossed the finish line in 4:09.71.
Camden Khon was close behind in fifth place with a time of 4:10.80. Khon qualified for nationals in the event earlier this season.
Along with the men's mile,
Tanana Emmendorfer competed on the women's side in the 400 meters. The freshman from Adrian, Michigan finished eighth with a school record time of 57.61. She was also just 0.12 seconds from a national qualifying time.
