KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Spring Arbor University softball team collected two more wins on its final day in Florida. The Cougars edged Dordt University 1-0 before posting a dominant 9-1 victory over Judson University.

Deb Thompson and her squad finished their Spring Break trip with a 7-2 record and boast an overall record of 8-3 this season.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor scored the game's only run in the top of the first inning. After starting the game off with a base hit, Emilee Underwood came around to score while Summer Ambler was intentionally caught in a run-down between first and second base.
- Ava Poulson was outstanding in the circle spinning her first career complete game shutout. The freshman pitcher allowed just three hits over seven innings and struck out nine batters.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor held a 3-0 lead through three innings before breaking the game open with a four-spot in the fourth.
- The Cougars tacked on two more runs in the fifth to bring the eight-run mercy rule into effect.
- Summer Ambler was a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Taylor Clark had two hits, including a triple, while Elaina Walker also collected a pair of hits and scored twice.
- Tammy Craven pitched a complete game allowing no earned runs over five innings with four strikeouts.
