SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University softball team celebrated Senior Day with two wins over Grace College on Saturday at the Cougar Softball Field. The Cougars blanked the Lancers 6-0 in the opener before posting a 10-4 victory in game two.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Summer Ambler blasted her 10th home run of the season – a two-run shot – in the third inning to put Spring Arbor on the scoreboard. Kennadi Killeen added an RBI single in the frame to put SAU ahead 3-0.
- The Cougars went on to add single runs in each of the next three innings en route to the 6-0 victory.
- Killeen was 2-for-3 with an RBI while Payton Grange also collected two hits and drove in a run. Lexi Cain and Matajia Cerroni each crossed the plate twice.
- Emilee Underwood tossed her fourth complete game shutout of the campaign on the way to earning her 11th victory. The sophomore pitcher surrendered just three hits and struck out 10 batters.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Grace struck first with a run in the opening inning, but Spring Arbor answered with three of its own in the home half of the frame. A base hit by Killeen allowed Brooke Meeker to score and Cain followed with hit to bring home two more.
- The Cougars added to their lead with three runs in the fourth inning – highlighted by RBI hits from Walker and Ambler – and two more in the fifth.
- The visitors plated three runs in the sixth inning to cut the deficit to four, 8-4, but SAU responded with two in the bottom half of the frame on back-to-back RBI doubles by Grace Luby and Grange to put the game out of reach.
- Grange was 3-for-4 in the contest with an RBI and run scored. Cain and Cerroni recorded two hits apiece with Cain driving in a pair of runs while Walker also had two RBIs.
- Ava Poulson picked up the win in the circle. The freshman pitcher allowed one run on five hits in six innings of work and fanned three.
