INDIANAPOLIS – The Spring Arbor University softball team rallied back from a four-run deficit to force extra innings in game two of Wednesday's doubleheader at Marian University, however, the No. 14 ranked Knights escaped with an 8-7 victory in nine innings.
Prior to the walk-off win, Marian claimed a 6-0 win in the first game of the afternoon to sweep the twinbill.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor was limited to three hits by Marian's All-American pitcher Olivia Stunkel, who improved to 14-0 in the circle on the season.
- Emilee Underwood blanked the No. 14 ranked Knights through four innings, but the home team was able to push two runs across in the fifth inning to grab the lead before tacking on four runs in the sixth.
- Elaina Walker, Brooke Meeker and Taylor Clark recorded hits for SAU. With her double in the seventh, Clark has now hit safely in 10 of the last 11 games.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Marian led 7-3 after four innings, but Spring Arbor would rally back.
- The Cougars scored two in the fifth inning and Summer Ambler smacked her second home run of the game in the sixth to close the gap to one, 7-6.
- In the seventh, SAU had the bases loaded with two outs when Anna Kemp scored on a wild pitch to tie the game.
- Spring Arbor put the go-ahead run in scoring position in the eighth, but Marian escaped the jam with no damage done.
- In the ninth, the home team got the leadoff batter on after an infield single. Following a sacrifice bunt, the Knights' Haley Greene would single up the middle to bring home the game-winning run.
- Clark continued to be red-hot at the plate picking up three more hits, including two doubles. Ambler hit a pair of home runs while Matajia Cerroni drove in two and Meeker scored three times.
