MARION, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University men's track & field team finished fifth at the Crossroads League Outdoor Championships, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University.
Dean Reynolds captured first place in the 1500 meters to lead the way for SAU while the Cougars posted four other All-Crossroads League performances, including
Camden Khon in the 800 meters,
Logan Detloff in the 10,000 meters, and the 4x100 and 4x800 meter relay teams.
Along with the podium finish, the 4x100 squad set a new school record. The group of
Kyson Cooper,
Quintin Williams,
Shane Paterson and
Jamaun Windham completed the race in 40.86, which also qualified the relay for the national meet.
The 4x800 team of
Kalyb VanWormer,
Jacob Singleton,
Camden Khon and
Dean Reynolds also punched its ticket to nationals with an A standard time of 7:34. Khon and Reynolds hit the B standard in the 800 meters and 1500 meters, respectively, with times of 1:51.99 and 3:50.79.
The men's team championship went to Marian University. It was the Knights' fifth straight conference crown, and the ninth in the last 10 years.
