ADRIAN, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University volleyball team capped off a flawless weekend at the Siena Heights University Labor Day Invitational with two more victories on Saturday. The Cougars defeated Trinity Christian College 3-1 before sweeping Calumet College of St. Joseph.
With the wins, Spring Arbor improved its record to 12-0 on the season.

Scores: 23-25, 25-12, 25-12, 25-15
Trinity Christian edged out a tight first set to grab the lead. However, SAU responded with poise and rattled off three straight set wins to claim the match.
Keely Hinzman had a team-high nine kills and three aces to go along with seven blocks to lead the way.
Kelsie Lilly and
Kendall Bollenbacher recorded eight kills each while
Isabelle Kirkendall finished with seven.
Spring Arbor 3, Calumet St. Joseph 0
Scores: 25-15, 25-18, 25-18
The nightcap belonged entirely to the Cougars, who dominated from the first serve.
Lilly registered six kills and
Sophia DeVlieger added four.
Giovanna LoCicero and
Palmer Fortress posted a pair of aces each while
Camy Wedge dished out 12 assists.
Spring Arbor rides its unbeaten start into Crossroads League play next week. The Cougars travel to Indianapolis to take on No. 22 Marian University on Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 7 p.m.
