NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Less than 24 hours after anchoring Spring Arbor's national qualifying distance medley relay at SVSU, Camden Khon delivered another standout performance at one of the nation's premier indoor meets.
 
Competing in the mile at Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational on Saturday – a prestigious event that annually draws elite NCAA Division I and II talent – Khon raced to a first place finish, crossing the line in an NAIA A standard time of 4:03.99 to automatically qualify for the NAIA Indoor National Championships.
 
The performance shattered the previous SAU program record by nearly five seconds and currently ranks No. 1 in the NAIA this season. Khon's time also sits 11th on the NAIA's all-time list.
 
With the effort, Khon has now qualified for the national meet in three events – the 800 meters, the mile and the distance medley relay – and ranks among the top-two nationally in all three.
 
Khon and the Cougars will be back in action at Indiana Wesleyan University's Midwest Classic on Saturday, Feb. 7.
