FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University women's tennis team delivered a dominant performance on Friday, defeating the University of Saint Francis by a 7-0 score in Crossroads League action.
With the win, the Cougars improve to 6-7 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
Spring Arbor set the tone early by sweeping all three doubles matches.
Lilah Dean and
Moorea McNalley earned a 6-1 win at No. 1 while
Victoria Herrington and
Dayra Novella rolled to a 6-0 victory at No. 2.
Madelyn Dell and
Kaitlyn Schmitt completed the sweep with a 6-0 win at No. 3.
The Cougars carried that momentum into singles play, winning all six matches in straight sets. McNalley led the way at No. 1 with a 6-1, 6-2 victory, while Herrington followed with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2. Dean secured a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 3, and Novella,
Andrea Vandermark and Dell each posted commanding wins to complete the sweep.
