LIMA, Ohio – The Spring Arbor University women's tennis team fell 5-2 to Ohio Northern University on Saturday in non-conference action at Westwood Tennis Center.
With the result, the Cougars move to 6-8 overall on the season.
Ohio Northern claimed the early advantage by sweeping all three doubles matches to take the team point.
Spring Arbor responded with strong efforts in singles play, picking up two wins.
Moorea McNalley rallied for a three-set victory at No. 1 while
Victoria Herrington added another three-set win at No. 2.
Despite the momentum in the top of the lineup, the Cougars were unable to overcome the early deficit, as Ohio Northern secured the remaining singles matches to clinch the team victory.
