FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University men's tennis team fell 6-1 to Goshen College on Saturday in Crossroads League action.
With the result, the Cougars move to 7-9 overall and 1-4 in conference play.
Spring Arbor picked up a win at No. 1 doubles, where
Aziz Madatov and
Andrei Negrut earned a convincing 6-1 victory. The duo now boasts a 10-1 record together on the season and has won eight matches in a row. However, Goshen secured wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to claim the doubles point.
In singles play, Madatov accounted for the Cougars' lone point, battling to a 6-1, 6-7, 6-2 win at No. 1.
Goshen claimed the remaining singles matches to secure the team victory.
