UPLAND, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University women's tennis team delivered a dominant performance on Tuesday, shutting out Taylor University 7-0 in Crossroads League play.
The Cougars improve to 7-11 overall and 2-4 in conference action.
Spring Arbor controlled the match from the start, sweeping all three doubles contests to take the early lead.
Victoria Herrington and
Moorea McNalley set the tone with a 6-0 win at No. 1, while
Isabel Abraham and
Lilah Dean earned a 6-2 victory at No. 2.
Dayra Novella and
Madelyn Dell completed the sweep with another 6-0 result at No. 3.
SAU carried that momentum into singles, winning all six matches in straight sets.
McNalley secured a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 1 singles, and Herrington followed with a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 2. Novella and
Andrea Vandermark each delivered dominant 6-0, 6-0 performances at No. 3 and No. 6, respectively. Dean added a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 4, while Abraham rounded out the scoring with a 6-4, 6-1 victory at No. 5.
