The Spring Arbor University men's tennis team closed out its conference season with a 6-3 win over visiting Goshen College.
Strong doubles play by Dave Cavender and Matt DeRose at #2 doubles and even more dominating doubles play by #3 doubles team Wade Clark and Josh Miles gave the Cougars a 2-1 lead going into the singles. Wins by Matt Lantz, Jordan Hoy, Dave Cavender and Wade Clark in singles gave the Cougars a much-needed win.
Spring Arbor ended their conference season with a disappointing 3-4 record (4-4 overall) but believe that the pieces are there for a much better showing in the spring.
