Still smarting from a close loss at Taylor on Thursday, the Cougars rebounded nicely with a well-played victory over Bethel College. The doubles teams of David Darling-Rafael Schuster, Aaron Mayes-Nathan Scholten and Tim Smolen-Chris Swank all had decisive wins to start the match off.
The efforts of the doubles teams was followed up by some strong singles play as the Cougars rolled to a 9-0 win over Bethel College. Both David Darling and Andrew DeBruyn cruised to 6-0, 6-0 wins in their respective singles matches. Aaron Mayes improved his singles record to 11-2 overall and 7-1 in the MCC conference with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Stephen Ward at #2 singles.

The Cougars finish the dual match portion of their season in 3rd place in the 9-team MCC conference and begin their conference tournament on Thursday in Marion, IN. The winner of the conference tournament gains an automatic bid to the NAIA tournament next spring.
