Cougar charge ends in final

The Cougars' strong charge to the final of the MCC tournament ended in defeat at the hands of Huntington University on Saturday. The Cougars only captured one of the doubles matches by Chris Swank and Tim Smolen at #3 doubles.
In singles action the Cougars lost 2 3-set matches and only won at #6 singles (Tim Smolen) for Spring Arbor's only other win. Despite this disappointing loss the Cougars completed a successful MCC season, finishing 3rd in the regular season and runner-up in the conference tournament, and amassed an 8-3 record (6-2 in MCC).
