The SAU Men's Tennis Team opened its fall season with a hard-fought 6-3 win over visiting Grace College. The Cougars fell behind 2-1 after the doubles but stormed back to win 5 of the 6 singles positions.

In doubles action senior captain Patrick McIlrath teamed with freshman Matt Wojtkowski to win 8-6 at the #3 doubles spot, helping to salvage one point in doubles action. Excellent play in singles resulted in wins by David Darling, Aaron Mayes, Rafael Schuster, Nathan Scholten and sophomore transfer Andrew DeBruyn. The Cougars continue action this Saturday, September 4 by hosting Marian at 1:00 at the SAU courts.
