Cougars stay perfect

The weather was not cooperative but the Cougars were able to win their 7th match of the season with a 5-1 win over Bethel. Thomas Calderone did not lose a game in either singles or doubles as he helped lead SAU to another victory. Aaron Mayes also had a good day, only dropping one game in his singles win. Several matches were rained out before they could be completed.

The Cougars play their final match at Huntington on Thursday and will hope to have their first undefeated campaign and first conference championship since joining the MCC.

After Thursday's match against Huntington  the Cougars will be looking forward to next Tuesday when the conference tournament will start.

Because the Cougars are now guaranteed to be the top seed in the tournament, they will be hosting Bethel College again next Tuesday in the MCC tournament's first round.
