SPRING ARBOR, MI - The Men's tennis team continues to roll
this year with a dominant win over a tough Trine University tennis
program. Trine came into Spring Arbor
with legitimate credentials with wins over MCC second place finisher Taylor
University and boasting a 9-2 win-loss record.
But not much is making the Cougars blink this year and the Cougars
finished the day with an impressive 9-0 win over the Thunder.
The day was dedicated to the Not For Sale Campaign and
Free2Play as the team and coaches all wore the Orange tee-shirts NOT FOR SALE
before the match. Concessions were sold
and all proceeds were donated to the campaign.
Junior David Darling won two matches and has been piling up
the victories this year for the Cougars.
His wins at Number one singles and in the two doubles spot improved his
singles record this year to 20-1 and his doubles record to 19-2 for a combined
39-3 record for the year.
Spring Arbor will return to play on April 9th at
home against Cornerstone University. The
match will begin at 4:00.
