AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Senior Rebekah Kujat recorded her 1,000th career kill in an SAU uniform as the Spring Arbor University volleyball team defeated Rochester College 3-1 (20-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-22) on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Needing 21 kills to reach the milestone, Kujat erupted for a season-high 23 while hitting at a blistering .438 clip to lead Spring Arbor past Rochester. The Flushing, Michigan became the first Cougar to join the 1,000-kill club since Annie Jones accomplished the feat in 2011.
- Kasey Follis finished with nine kills and Courtney Kyser chipped in eight while also adding four blocks.
- Annica Stotz distributed a career-high 35 assists to help SAU post its highest hitting percentage since the team's opening day this season.
- Four different Cougars posted double-digit digs led by Taylor Johnston with 12. Leah Rose, Mackay Heasley and Gabrielle Hilliard all followed with 11 each.
UP NEXT
Spring Arbor jumps back into Crossroads League play with a trip to Goshen College (8-6, 3-3 CL) on Friday, Sept. 23. The Cougars will then visit the University of Saint Francis (2-13, 1-6 CL) on Saturday, Sept. 24.
