HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Spring Arbor and Saint Francis traded the lead five different times through the first 13 minutes of action before USF scored seven unanswered points to grab a 21-14 advantage at the 5:13 mark of the second quarter. The visitors would eventually take a 26-21 into halftime.

Using full-court pressure, Spring Arbor forced Saint Francis into seven turnovers, and held the visitors scoreless for a six minute stretch.
  • Trailing by three with 1:26 remaining, Kylie Townsley converted an old-fashioned three-point play to even the score at 53-53. Following a Saint Francis free throw, Goggin buried a three-pointer to give SAU its first lead since early in the second quarter.
