WINONA LAKE, Ind. – In a season already full of late heartbreak, the Spring Arbor University men's basketball team suffered another painful loss Saturday in a 65-64 setback at the hands of Grace College inside the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center.
Trailing by one, Grace's Chad Hoffer hit a go-ahead shot with four seconds to play. The Cougars had one last chance, but the half court heave from Thomas Starks bounced off the rim.
Junior Zach Medendorp became the 44th player in program history to reach the 1,000 point milestone. Needing just eight points entering the game, the Alto, Michigan native finished with 14 and now stands at 1,006 career points.
