Men's Soccer closes road trip with loss to Johnson & Wales

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – Playing its fifth consecutive road game to open the 2017 season, the Spring Arbor University men's soccer team allowed a season-high five goals on Friday while suffering a 5-2 loss at Johnson & Wales University.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • After falling behind 1-0, Spring Arbor evened the score in the 21st minute when Morris Kamara converted a penalty kick.
  • The two teams would go into halftime tied 1-1, but Johnson & Wales broke the game open early in the second half scoring three times in a 15 minute span.
  • Baba Valdmanis recorded his first career goal in the 78th minute.
