SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University volleyball team lost in three sets to Marian University inside the SAU Fieldhouse on Wednesday night. The Knights, who are receiving votes in the Top 25 poll, defeated the Cougars 25-8, 28-26, 25-19.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- SET SCORES: 25-8, 28-26, 25-19
- Sydney Ritz and Olivia Landis finished with six kills apiece while Courtney Kyser and Kasey Follis each added five.
- Annica Stotz handed out 14 assists and collected eight digs. Stephaney Fifield posted a team-high 15 digs and Leah Rose followed with 11.
- Spring Arbor limited Marian to its second-lowest hitting percentage of the season. The Knights, who currently lead the Crossroads League in hitting percentage, managed to hit just .120 on the night.
FOR MARIAN
- AlyxaKay Shields led the way for the Knights with 10 kills and Kacee Salyers added eight.
- Madi Heffron recorded a double-double with 17 assists and 13 digs.
- The victory was the 10th straight for Marian.
UP NEXT
Spring Arbor will host Mount Vernon Nazarene University (9-6, 1-3 CL) on Friday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. The Cougars will then take on Taylor University (9-4, 3-2 CL) at home on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 3 p.m.
